Soaking Up Summer And The Blessings Of Homeschooling
As I sit by the pond watching my boys skip rocks and chase frogs, I can’t help but feel incredibly thankful for the life we’re building. This season, both summer and this chapter in our lives, is full of sunshine, growth, and so much good.
Homeschooling has truly been a blessing for our family. This past year, our boys thrived at their homeschool co-op at Calvary Belfast Academy. They explored art, woodworking, cooking, and spent time with other kids in ways that felt fun and meaningful. Watching them grow, not just academically but as kind, curious, and confident people, has been one of my favorite parts of this journey.
Homeschooling gives us a kind of freedom that’s hard to put into words. The freedom to learn at our own pace. The freedom to follow our interests. The freedom to be together and live life more fully.
With our soap and candle business growing, our days stay busy, but everything blends together in a way that works for us. We can run the shop, create new scents, get ready for markets, and still make time for lazy mornings, pond swims, and all the little things that matter most. The flexibility that comes with homeschooling makes it all possible. It’s not always perfect, but it’s real, and it’s ours.
If you’re considering homeschooling, or just need a reminder that you can build a life that fits your family, I hope our story encourages you. It’s not always easy, but it’s so worth it.
Here’s to messy buns, pond days, and raising lifelong learners with joy in their hearts.
